UGL Utilities are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join the Hunter Power Project team! The Hunter Power Project is the construction of a 660MW Power Station comprising of two heavy-duty open cycle gas turbines. Located in the in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, 35 km west of Newcastle.About You:
- Fit mechanical plant (pumps, valves, pipework, rotating equipment etc.)
- Fabricate steel structures (platforms, supports, pipework, etc.)
- Read and interpret drawings supplied by a supervisor or client representative.
- Follow written and/or verbal instructions provided by a supervisor client’s representative.
- Care and maintain tools and equipment necessary to carry out all tasks.
Key Requirements:
- Hold a Trade Certificate Mechanical qualification
- Hydraulic experience desirable
- Rotating turbine experience desirable
- Flange management desirable
- Driver’s License
- Construction experience desirable
- Heavy industry experience
