Bis are now currently recruiting for a Workshop Trades Assistant to join our team, based out of our Paget Workshop in QLD.
The successful candidates will be assisting our Mechanical Tradesperson's onsite whilst they perform mechanical repairs and maintenance across a variety of underground mobile plant.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Trades Assistant to get large scale workshop exposure, along with gaining experience and skills working on underground machinery!
We are currently looking for a person that possess the same drive, enthusiasm and pride in their work as we do. You will learn from the best in the field, you will be working with a stable team that values hard work but enjoys their time together as well.
Requirements of the Role :
- Previous work history as a Trades Assistant (experience with underground machinery and diesel engines will be highly regarded)
- High Risk Work Licence - LF and DG (Forklift and Dogman) Preferred
- Ability to follow the directions of senior tradespersons.
- Positive, proactive approach to safety;
- Commitment to working as part of a team;
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to customer service;
About The Role
- Assisting our Mechanical Tradespersons to perform mechanical repairs and maintenance to a variety of underground mobile plant including loaders, and underground haulage equipment.
- Forklift operational experience.
- Monday - Thursday and Tuesday - Friday roster, 12-hour shifts with overtime available on the off day.
- New Workshop and Facilities.
