Our client, a global mining company, is seeking an experienced Environmental & Rehabilitation Advisor for their operations in Far West NSW.The role will be a permanent/full-time role with FLIGHTS, accommodation, meals and travel allowances on offer.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for –
- Utilise available rehabilitation methods to achieve desired quantity and quality of rehabilitation within approved budgetary requirements;
- Identify and acquire native seed species, manage seed banks and application of seed over new areas to achieve the rehabilitation program objectives across Eastern Operations
- Manage the storage, inventory and supply of native seed across Eastern Operations
- Ensure Rehabilitation Management Plans are effectively implemented and objectives are achieved in a timely manner;
- Create, implement and monitor progressive rehabilitation plans through the whole lifecycle of the mine;
- Work seamlessly with rehabilitation service providers to ensure safe, effective and cost-efficient services that comply to the required standards;
- Monitor and maintain rehabilitation areas and collect data and maintain a rehabilitation dataset;
- Create and update maps of rehabilitated areas;
- Coordinate rehabilitation research trials and refine rehabilitation completion criteria based on rehabilitation monitoring and research.
The successful candidate will have -
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or relevant field
- Extensive experience working as an Environmental/Rehab advisor in the mining sector
- Experience in restoration, rehabilitation or revegetation
- Knowledge of NSW environmental legislation and statutory rehabilitation regulations
- Experience in GIS or mapping computer skills
