Your Role
You will work in a fast-paced, very busy linehaul operations site and be responsible for all aspects of Office and Warehouse Administration duties. You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager and on a daily basis, you will be required to;
- Maintain and monitor client-based accounts to allocate and respond to enquiries in a short timeframe, keeping the mailbox tidy at all times
- Monitor, Review and Approve Cargo Requests in a timely manner
- Inspect crossdocking back freight and any back freight follow up requirements
- Determine Carrier Costs, Completing Bookings and providing supplier labels where required
- Follow up incoming and outgoing freight daily, ensuring the freight management system is up to date
- Print all new consignments and entering into TMS in a timely manner
- Ensure you are kept abreast with regional costs and comparison on consignments
- Scan, save and upload PODs to the system and attach Job Sheets
- Process Driver Packs, and monitor driver run sheets received for payroll processing
- Keep meticulous refrigerated trailer records and document control
- Administer tasks such as new Driver Packs etc
- Scan all relevant Transport documents into Compliance folders
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement (service, cost, quality, HSEQ)
- Ensure incidents and near misses are reported immediately and participate in incident investigations as required
The position is Full-Time Permanent, and hours are 7:30am – 4pm M-F. There is a team roster for covering calls on weekends for general customer service or consignment checking.
About You
- You will be a go-getter, energetic and love working with people
- You’ll have at least 3 years of experience in a Transport or Warehousing company and understand Dangerous Goods environments
- A solid working knowledge of MS 365 suite
- Chain of Responsibility Knowledge and Awareness
- A keen desire to help people enjoy their workplace and return home safely
- You’ll be passionate about your career and look for companies that support your personal and professional development
- You’ll be willing and available to work to an on-call phone roster
