About the role
This unique role is perfectly suited to an experienced physiotherapist to develop an innovative cardiorespiratory service with a focus on enhancing the physiotherapy management within the following cardiorespiratory client cohorts:
- Chronic disease
- Pre-transplantation
- Palliative care
The successful Grade 3 or Grade 2 applicant will have a keen interest in the management of chronic cardiorespiratory clients with and a strong clinical background in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy care.
The physiotherapist will work with the Manager of Eastern Health Community Health, the Grade 4 Clinical lead (Cardiorespiratory) and key stakeholders to develop and implement an innovative model of care for these patient cohorts in the community.
The team leader will receive professional supervision and support from the Clinical Lead Grade 4 physiotherapists with opportunities to develop skills in quality improvement and research.
The Successful applicant will have a strong interest in Chronic Disease, Palliative Care and Pre-transplantation be supported by senior physiotherapist to grow their skills to work with clients requiring cardiorespiratory care
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current registration Australian Physiotherapy Board
- Eligibility for Membership of Professional Association.
- Relevant post graduate qualifications, or commencement thereof
- Relevant clinical and leadership experience.
- Extensive clinical experience and/or post-graduate qualifications in the appropriate specialised field e.g. cardiorespiratory physiotherapy
- Experience in supervision of staff and students.
- Experience in leadership of staff, including professional development and supervision.
- Experience in clinical education of staff and students.
- Excellent team integration skills.
- Sound knowledge of community organisations and networks.
- Demonstrated high level of analytical thinking and investigative skills involving research, benchmarking and resource identification, including innovative service delivery models.
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence
