As a DevOps Engineer in our Infrastructure Team, you'll play a critical role in:
- Empowering engineers to fully own their services, from development to deployment and monitoring.
- Crafting cutting-edge tools and processes that enable product engineers to build customer products swiftly and reliably.
- Mentoring and coaching engineering teams to elevate their cloud and data engineering expertise.
- Leveraging your strong experience in AWS and DevOps culture to drive the continuous improvement of our platform.
- Showcasing your expertise in writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Cloudformation.

We are on the lookout for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our thriving team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Working closely with our development team, you'll facilitate seamless deployments while monitoring and maintaining the health and availability of our systems.
To excel in this role, you should have strong experience in infrastructure as code, containerisation, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices. Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment are also essential.

To be successful:
To be successful in the role of DevOps Engineer at EstimateOne, candidates must have a deep understanding and practical experience across several core areas of DevSecOps and cloud engineering. Demonstrated expertise in AWS services and a strong grasp of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles, using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, is essential. Furthermore, the ability to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure and deployment pipelines is crucial.
Ideal candidates will bring experience with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, ECS, Fargate) and familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices, employing tools like Buildkite for automation and DataDog for monitoring. A strong programming background is essential; familiarity with languages such as Go, Python, or NodeJS is beneficial, though prowess in any advanced and efficient language, including exciting alternatives like Elixir or boring ones like Java. A commitment to security and networking best practices is mandatory.
Beyond technical excellence, successful candidates will have outstanding communication skills, the capability to thrive within a team setting, and a zeal for mentoring and coaching engineers. They must align with and actively contribute to the company’s ethos of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning, thereby enhancing our team culture.
