We’re currently seeking a General Manager, Clinical Governance. This role will be responsible for developing and leading the implementation of risk, quality management strategies, programs and projects, supporting the Strategic Plan and assisting to develop a culture of integrated risk management at all levels across UnitingCare Hospitals; The Wesley Hospital, St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, St Stephen’s Hospital Hervey Bay, Buderim Private Hospital.
Providing effective, functional leadership to a team 20-25 people to deliver UCH’s Clinical Governance Strategy, you will foster a safe work environment and build effective working relationships to ensure the delivery of best practice, evidence-based models for clinical governance including quality and safety, clinical reporting and innovation in models of care.
What makes a difference for us?
Essential:
- Health & Community Services Related Degree or Qualification.
- Tertiary Qualifications in Risk Management, Quality Management or Clinical Governance (or related discipline).
- Demonstrated expert knowledge and/or clinical experience in service delivery and quality systems in health sectors.
- Knowledge of, and experience in risk management methodology and techniques and implementation of integrated risk management frameworks
- Knowledge of contemporary continuous quality improvement practices.
- Proven professional leadership qualities, working as part of a leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, providing advice and implementing initiatives to deliver on organisational objectives.
- A thorough understanding of Accreditation requirements quality cycle, and evaluation and evidence requirements.
- A high level of interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with executives, members of the clinical, professional, and industry sectors, and the general community.
- Demonstrated high level understanding of person-centred service delivery.
Desirable
- Post Graduate Qualifications in Health & Community Services Related Degree or Qualification; Health & Community Services Industry Experience.
- Formal training in management or leadership.
