About the role

The purpose of this role is to:

  • Understand and lead Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander strategic and operational planning improvement initiatives across the RBWH as they relate to Metro North Health strategies and state and national plans related to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
  • Provide high level cultural leadership, guidance and authoritative counsel in matters relating to the operational performance, priorities and change management issues as they relate to improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes
  • Drive the development of designated service improvement portfolios across the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services in RBWH.
  • Ensure the inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health priorities in RBWH operational planning.
  • Be responsible for the provision of efficient and effective use of human and material resources in a specific area within a dynamic health environment.
  • Demonstrate responsibility for operational planning, management and evaluation of designated services and maintenance of professional delivery of health care services within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health
