This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door, get your hands dirty and make a real impact on services that strengthen the local community.

Responsible for undertaking manual labouring tasks within the Civil Construction Industry.

You will:

  • carry out maintenance and construction duties in relation to roads, bridges and drainage
  • perform traffic control duties when required
  • comply with environmental requirements and procedures
  • hold a Current NSW class C Drivers licence (or higher)
  • possess a WorkCover accredited Construction Induction Card (White Card) including a demonstrated sound knowledge of Work, Health and Safety procedures
  • hold or be willing to obtain a Current approved Traffic Controller’s Card and Implement Traffic Control Plans Card

Please note that to be a successful candidate for this role you’ll be required to complete a pre-employment medical check (this will include a drug and alcohol test, sight and hearing, functional and medical component)

The package: Commencing salary package range circa $50,600 to $55,700 p.a. plus superannuation. (Dependent on skills and experience.)

Location: Your normal place of work will be the Taree Depot located on Arkwright Crescent, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
