About the Role

Reporting to the Auxiliary Maintenance Supervisor, we have opportunities for LV Mechanics and Auxiliary Equipment Maintenance at Mining Area C.

You will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance to highway going trucks, light vehicles, lighting plants, and other critical mobile equipment within the Auxiliary department to ensure the efficiency of operations.

In this role you will:

• Provide the highest level of diagnostics, repairs, maintenance/service to a fleet of Trucks (Scania/Fuso’s), light vehicles (eg Toyota), buses, cranes, telehandlers, trailers, welders, compressors, lighting plants, EWP’s, forklifts (Hyster/ Manitou)
• Contribute to our safety and continuous improvement culture, BHP Operating Systems (BOS), by being pro-active and demonstrating a commitment to high standards of execution within your trade
• Operate mobile equipment within limits of competence, training and experience
• Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports and drawings as required
• Use of computerized maintenance systems (SAP) including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders


About You


As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

• Either an Australian recognised Heavy Road Transport OR a LV Mechanical certificate (or similar)
• C Class Drivers Licence (HR Desirable)
• High Risk License Working at Heights, HR, CV, Dogging, Rigging, Fork Lift, Air Con Ticket preferred
• Extensive experience diagnosing, maintaining and repair/servicing a broad range of machinery/equipment of direct relevance
• Willingness to learn
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well within a close-knit team to achieve outcomes
