About the role

This is a part time closed period contract until 30th June 2025 – 60 hours per fortnight – 4 days per week

About the opportunity

Uniting is currently seeking a Caseworker for our Brunswick Heads Community Village. The caseworker is responsible for providing high-quality casework, advice, and support to residents of Uniting’s Brunswick Heads Community Village. Working closely with management, you will prioritise team goals and strategies to enhance the quality of our services.

  • Maintain high standards of conduct and work performance based on Uniting’s values.
  • Ensure integration and collaboration across Uniting programs to deliver impactful services.
  • Model Uniting's values of Bold, Respectful, Imaginative, and Compassionate.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Actively engage in community development and networking opportunities.
  • Provide early intervention and prevention advice, casework, and case management services to residents with complex needs.
  • Develop case plans to promote capacity building and address individual strengths and needs.
  • Advocate effectively on behalf of service users and link them to ongoing support.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to assess and address child safety concerns.
  • Utilise trauma-informed frameworks to deliver appropriate support services.
  • Maintain data systems to meet reporting requirements in a child protection focused environment.

Your Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Community Services, or relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years’ experience in a related field.
  • Experience working with Indigenous Communities is imperative.
  • Current NSW driver’s license and ability to work flexible hours.
