Description:
- Permanent - Full Time 38 hours
- Salary: Band 8 - $117,616 to $131,518 + 11 % superannuation
- *Role includes an RDO
We are looking for a Coordinator, Strategic Communications to coordinate, develop and deliver communication strategies that support and promote the Council’s service delivery.
What you’ll be working on
- Lead communications plans and strategies to ensure effective stakeholder relations and delivery of the highest level support to teams across the organisation with their projects.
- Implement Council’s Communication Strategy to ensure a positive public image for the organisation in the local community, via all available communications channels.
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure Council services are aligned with community aspirations and goals
- Engaging with our community to ensure their aspirations inform our strategies, plans and future direction.
What you need to succeed
- Relevant graduate or post graduate qualifications (for example in communications, government, or community engagement), combined with extensive and relevant work
- Knowledge of local, state and federal government relations, including experience in devising and implementing communication strategies and delivering outcomes in a political context
- Experience in leading a team of professionals in the development of partnership relationships with internal and external stakeholders and the delivery of specialist services and advice.
- Experience in developing and maintaining effective and productive working relationships with media, industry and the wider community (in a potentially conflicted environment) to promote a positive image of the organisation.
