  • All staff are responsible for identifying, managing, and reporting risks relating to their work within South-East Queensland Region.
  • Provide high-quality business advice and support on a range of financial, budgeting, human resources, IT, information management, planning and reporting, corporate governance and other administrative issues to the management and staff in the region.
  • Ensure the timely coordination and provision of performance reports and ministerial and executive correspondence to the Office of the Regional Director.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the good governance and objectives of the directorate and department.
  • Oversee the provision of effective cost centre management through the development maintenance and review of financial managements systems, including activities such as processing invoices for payment, monitoring costs centre expenditure ensuring accountability for monies received and paid, reviewing, and preparing budget estimates forecasts and end of month reconciliation.
  • Manage leasing of office accommodation, plant and equipment, motor vehicles, assets, and all ICT procurement activities.
  • Liaise, negotiate, and consult with management and staff to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of administrative support services across the South-East Queensland region.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant human resource, financial management and other standards, policies, and legislation relevant to the operations of the department and all service centres across South-East Queensland Region.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and review comprehensive systems of administrative, financial, and human resource management practices and procedures for the South-East Queensland Region.
  • Support the Regional Director by providing high level advice within human resources, establishment, and recruitment processes.
  • Develop and maintain management information systems and records management systems to provide relevant information and statistics to the Regional Director, South-East Queensland region.
  • Actively work to ensure the work environment is accountable and equitable by implementing current departmental management standards and policies in line with all corporate governance requirements: including equal employment opportunities; anti discrimination; and workplace health and safety.
  • Complete and deliver special projects as assigned by the Regional Director.
