Farm management opportunity for a Dryland specialist wanting to take the next step on the career ladder with a supportive employer willing to mentor.

The Role
A successful family operation incorporating large-scale Dryland, Irrigation and Feedlot programs is looking for an operations manager to conduct the Dryland program. Supported by your team and utilising your dryland background and agronomic knowledge, you will ensure the efficient and effective completion of all elements in the cropping cycle.
Utilising minimum till practices Wheat, Chickpeas, Barley and Dryland Cotton crops are annually rotated to ensure optimum soil health and ongoing profitability. Actively operating alongside your team, the modern fleet comprises smaller John Deere tractors, with most of the larger equipment being Case. A strong mechanical aptitude is required to ensure the smooth operation and planning of the fleet, with some pieces shared across the operation.
Reporting directly to the owner, you will have strong communication and organisational skills as you work closely with other managers to promote efficiency across the business. Depending on your skills and experience, you will be involved in strategic planning and future business advancement and providing required reports. Previous experience with WHS processes and staffing is also beneficial as you coordinate your team, which can be more than twenty team members during peak seasons. The Employer :
Spread across multiple properties in the northwest of NSW, the successful family operation is predominantly cropping-focused, with the addition of a feedlot that allows opportunistic trading. The successful candidate needs to be team-centred as they work hard to ensure a friendly team-focused atmosphere, with several members retained for up to twenty years. They offer options for further progression and growth within the role and are happy to train in higher management elements where required.
The Offer
Comfortably accommodated in a three-bedroom family home on the property with all-weather access, you will be just fifteen minutes from the main workshop and sheds. You can access all the essentials, including schooling options, in either Rowena or Collarenebri.
You will also be remunerated with an attractive salary which a work ute, phone, internet, and other negotiables will accompany.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an experienced cropping individual who has strong agronomic and operating knowledge along with the following:

• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills
• Machinery operation and spray rig experience
• Chemical certificate
• Computer literacy and ability to complete basic reporting.
• Knowledge and understanding of WHS requirements and processes.
• Team-centred ethos
• Staff management experience (preferred, not essential)
