About the role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Disability Support Worker to provide personal care and look after the health and wellbeing of our clients through the provision of high quality care. For suitable candidates this can also be a step into leadership roles.

You will be responsible for providing disability support to our clients. This includes

  • Providing day to day support for community and SIL participants
  • working with a team of support workers as per roster to provide daily living support, ensuring resident's appointments and health and wellbeing needs are met
  • Arranging for household supplies, ensuring the house is kept clean and tidy, responding to hazards, and reporting.
  • Provide Medication, record keeping, and data logging
  • Showering, bathing, Hoist, meal preparation, cleaning
  • Experience in supporting clients with Huntington Disease is an advantage
  • Experience in supporting mental health participants.

Essential requirements:

  • Demonstrated evidence as an experienced disability support worker supporting clients within a residential setting
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Police Check
  • Current Working with Children's Check for paid employment
  • Current Drivers Licence and own car
  • Appropriate professional development in disability support including mental health
  • Successful candidates will be required to NDIS Workers screening check.

In accordance with the NSW Public Health Order, mandatory vaccination will be required for this position. Where applicable, evidence will be requested at probity check stage

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Salary: $28.86 – $40.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 18 per week
