Job Description - Warehouse Assistant
This is a full-time position reporting directly into our Storeman. The main responsibilities of this role are to keep our cool rooms, freezer and dry store areas in order. Working in temperature-controlled environments (cool room & freezer) you will be responsible for picking finished product manually & accurately, assembling & wrapping pallets for customer orders and operating a forklift (LF licence required) to load and unload trucks.

About you
The successful candidate will be hardworking, dedicated and have excellent attention to detail. You will need to be organised, able to easily follow instruction, work efficiently and accurately. You must have tidy personal presentation, good communication skills, with excellent written ability and be able to work well in a fast-paced team setting in this full-time position.
Other Requirements
- You must hold a valid LF Forklift licence
- Have at least 1 years experience operating a forklift
Responsibilities & duties
Your key role is to assist the Storeman to keep the warehouse and storage areas organised as well as ensuring receival and despatch is completed as efficiently and safely as possible.
Other key duties will include:
- Manually picking finished product for customer orders
- Prepare customer orders, wrap & label pallets ready for despatch
- Working in temperature-controlled environments (chiller & freezer)
- Performing regular cleaning of cool rooms, freezer & dry store areas
- Operating a forklift to load & unload trucks
- Completing delivery and despatch paperwork
- Operating a pallet jack to move finished product & raw materials around the factory
- Always performing safe manual handling practices
- Supporting other production areas during busy periods when required - production & packing
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $27.50 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
