Contract: Fixed-Term, Part-Time, 55.0 hours per fortnight until 23.02.2025
We are looking for enthusiastic and customer focused individuals with food service skills and experience to join our Aged Care team in this long service leave replacement position. This is a great entry level role to start your healthcare career.
The Position:
This role works effectively as part of a cohesive team to ensure the provision of a first class food and beverage service to support the care of frail, elderly residents of Maddocks Gardens. The Food Services Assistant will work within the requirements of the BRHS Food Safety Plan and Commonwealth Department of Health and Family Care Standards for Residential Aged Care Services to support the delivery of food services in line with the Healthy Choices guidelines and individual dietary requirements.
A requirement of this role is availability to work over 7 days a week, including public holidays and flexibility to perform a variety of shifts.

What you need:
- Current Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Previous experience in food preparation and/or service in Residential Aged Care is preferred.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- An understanding of the principles of confidentiality.
- Physical capacity to undertake routine lifting and pushing.
