The IntoWork Australia Group are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team in Melbourne.

About the role
This newly created role within the Finance team is responsible for the financial management of the group entities including;
· Compliance with all IntoWork Australia's policies & procedures, Australian Accounting Standards and other relevant legislative policies
· Developing and maintaining consistent & best practice principles across the Finance function for improved efficiency & controls
· Meeting the deadlines of the Finance team, ensuring high quality and accuracy of transactional accounting and financial closure is delivered on a monthly basis.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant is critical to ensure monthly financial accounts are accurate and complete.
This position also provides strong financial accounting transactions support to the Financial Controller. The Financial Accountant has excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships in the extended Finance team, with Business Leaders and Managers.
The role is based at our Northcote head office with hybrid working arrangements available. This is a Full Time permanent position.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate competency & experience in the following areas:
- Hold a Tertiary qualification within a related discipline i.e. Business & Commerce (mandatory)
- A minimum of 2-3 years in a similar Finance role post CA/CPA qualification
- Preferably CA/CPA qualified
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills & the ability to build strong relationships
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment
- Initiative, Innovation and Ideas!
- Application of sound business knowledge, understanding of business processes and & commercial acumen
- Experience in a Labour Hire, Group Training Organisation or Disability Employment Services
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and Solver Accounting & Reporting package is advantageous
- Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly Excel
