APG are looking for qualified Maintenance/ Mechanical Fitters who have experience in manufacturing and assembly and are looking for ongoing work.

Situated in the hub of the Eastern Suburbs, a minutes’ drive from the freeway, APG are looking for qualified Maintenance / Mechanical Fitters who have experience in manufacturing and production and are looking for an ongoing work where you can learn and grow, with the goal to become a permanent member of the team.
Hours for this role are:
Monday to Friday Day shift – 6am – 2pm
Pay rate : $47.14
The role:
With a strong commitment and eye for continuous improvement, you will work with mechanical machinery such as conventional lathes, milling, grinding, welders, process pumps, conveyors, and pneumatics drives.
Your role will involve:

• o Planning and Assembly of products from studying work orders, production schedules and engineering plans.
• Regular maintenance programs (Preventative and Breakdown)
• Fabricate, maintain, or repair plant, equipment and structures.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement activities and projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Involved in plant audits and make recommendations regarding improved machine performance.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve operational efficiency.

To be successful for these roles:

• Demonstrated commitment to Safety First in the workplace and working toward Zero Harm
• Formal Qualifications - Cert III in Mechanical Engineering or Fitter & Turner- Essential and must be to Australian certification standards.
• Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance on all mechanical machinery
• Ability to read and follow equipment schematics, logic diagrams and engineering drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative in problem solving and in exercising judgement.
• A flexible, adaptive, and agile mindset with a proven ability to work autonomously.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Desire and commitment to learn, develop new skills and work as a contributing team member.
• You must have full work rights to work in Australia.
