The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane has been selected to design and construct Snowy 2.0 . This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world. Future Generation Joint Venture on behalf of SC Hydro Pty Ltd is currently recruiting for Mobile Plant Mechanical Fitters/Heavy Diesel Fitters on the Snowy 2.0 Project in the Snowy Monaro region. The project is working a 14:7 roster, 12 hour shifts which may include days/nights rotating.The successful candidate will:
- Have underground experience
- Experience in mechanical maintenance of mobile plant, i.e. underground machinery, heavy earthmoving equipment, etc.
- Mechanical maintenance of Sandvik and CAT Drill Rig experience would be highly considered
- Reading and working on Hydraulic Schematic drawings, Pneumatic Systems, Lubrication Systems
- Monitor sensors, grease, oil and other ancillary systems
- Competent in fault finding
- Responsible for identifying any and all mechanical safety and technical hazards and notifying the appropriate persons accordingly
- Ability to perform daily safety and maintenance checks as well as extraordinary maintenance over the above listed equipment.
- Required to familiarize themselves with the approved emergency procedures, contingency plans, communication procedures and rescue plans
- Liaising with the rest of the Plant & Equipment Team for planning of ongoing and future works
- Provide support to production team, for trouble shooting and preventative maintenance
- Mechanical Trade Certificate
- Drivers licence – HR preferable
- High risk work licence – Forklift, EWP, DG - preferable

- General Construction Induction training (white card)
- Right to work in Australia
- Be able to pass medical and a criminal history check
