Your new role
Reporting to the Business Analysis Team Lead, the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for solving business problems for business stakeholders, identifying opportunities for improvements, providing recommendations, gathering, and qualifying business requirements and/or user stories and the development of various artifacts to ensure the successful implementation of new software, digital products and/or business process changes.
The Senior Business Analyst is an integral part of the investments project team and supports the delivery of strategic investment projects across the Fund.
The successful applicant will contribute through both independent and collaborative thinking to the design, development and delivery of innovative business solutions and improvement initiatives for AustralianSuper and its members.
Some key responsibilities but not limited to;

Supports the successful delivery of defined project objectives

Understands and can document the current and future states of the relevant investment business processes

Documents, manages, prioritises, and validates functional and non-functional requirements

Activities are appropriately tracked with clear traceability and are completed within the agreed timeframes

Understands the value proposition of initiatives and can prioritise well to help achieve business outcomes

Supports the process of developing, obtaining approval for and release for any required RFPs:
-
Identification of vendors/suppliers based on comprehensive market/industry scans

Performing vendor/supplier capability assessments
-
Making recommendations
-
Takes responsibility for successful delivery of their own allocated features and the whole product/service

Collaborates with development team to understand and agree on design best practices

Independently builds rapport with stakeholders and understands stakeholder challenges and pain points

Effective executive messaging/communication skills to all levels in the organisation

Understands executive and business sponsors' strategic direction
What you'll need
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior or Lead Business Analyst working on successfully delivered significant Investment projects or initiatives.
- Significant knowledge of, and a strong interest in unlisted (private markets) assets including private equity, private credit, property and infrastructure
- Experience in unlisted assets Portfolio Management System / investment platform implementations.
- Experience working in superannuation, financial services, or wealth management.
- Experience working in agile, waterfall and hybrid project environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop, organise, prioritise, validate, track, and manage business requirements.
- Ability to quickly build rapport with new people and develop strong sustainable stakeholder relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
- Experience in process improvement, design, and modelling.
