Veterinary Clinic Receptionist

The Role and Responsibilities:
Southern Cross Veterinary Clinic is looking for a receptionist to join our team. The responsibilities for the role include:

· Following a daily checklist of admin tasks

· Replying to emails, podium messages and communications

· Answering calls and triaging incoming clients

· Meeting and engaging with clients, we are customer service super stars!

· Greeting and receiving their animals

· Scheduling appointments, surgeries and boardings

· Taking payments for invoices and communicating invoice breakdown

· Rearranging diary to accommodate emergencies and daily work flow

· Cleaning, tidying and maintaining reception environment

About Our Ideal Candidate

· Must be Flexible with hours/days. Can work both day time, evening and weekend shifts as there will be a range of shifts to cover.

The candidate that we believe is most ideal for this role is somebody who is:

· Currently studying in vet or animal care or has an interest in animals

· Proactive, a multi-tasker, prioritise and a team player

· Available at short notice

· Willing to work weekends

· Works well under pressure

· A fast learner, adaptable and problem solver

· Bright, bubbly & well presented

· Must have Customer Service Skills

· Computer literate

We would prefer candidates who have experience in working in a customer focused role or as a receptionist who is a people person.

Our Locations

With clinics in three of the liveliest locations across Sydney and in Queensland, our local clinics are in St Peters, Surry Hills and Bellevue Hill, you will always find yourself in the heart of the city. Our locations also have regular access to public transport and ample parking making travel convenient for our employees… they are also vibrant areas to go out after work.

We are looking for a candidate to work within our brand-new refurbished Surry Hills Clinic in the heart of Cleveland Street and at our St Peters inner west hub clinic but flexibility between all clinics is essential for this role.
