Rooftop Services is currently seeking enthusiastic roofing trades assistants to help with all aspects of roofing services that we provide to our clients. You will have the opportunity to work on all different types/styles of houses, and become familiar with the installation methods for all different kinds of roofing materials. As a roofing trade assistant, you will work as part of a spirited team that knows how to get the job done but also when to have fun. This amazing opportunity will provide you with self development and career growth within our company.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the roofers with all roof repairs, replacing and repairing of all kind of flashings, working on the chimney, removing water damaged pieces and more
- Assist the installation process of new roofs by measuring the current dimensions of the house and cutting the roofing materials to ensure a perfect fit
- Assist with installing proper insulation in the attic area, and tear out any old insulation that does not meet current state guidelines
- Ensuring the work site is clean & tidy at all times
- Apply paint to the surface of the roof
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Australian citizen/resident or a valid visa
- Reliable transportation to and from our work sites
- Positive working attitude
- Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred:
- Prior experience of working in trades
- Basic set of tools
- Understanding of the construction industry
- Experience working at heights
