We currently have an opportunity for an Electrical Worker Crane Plant Operator to join the Essential Energy team in Ballina.
About Excavator Operator (16T)/Plant Operator
As an Electrical Worker/Plant Operator you will be responsible for safe operation of a 16 Tonne Excavator and late model Prime Mover which will be used to transport plant and equipment to site.
The majority of your daily work will involve assisting work crews with the installation of poles and equipment utilising the excavator with Engcon Tilt-Rotator attachment.
Other activities may include assisting with the installation, construction and maintenance of the energy distribution and other utility and telecommunication infrastructure requirements.
This role is similar to a plant operator and does not require an electrical qualification.
You will also provide other customer service activities and the operation of related plant and equipment.

You will have a collaborative approach and understand the importance of working side by side with colleagues and customers. You will positively contribute to the community and stakeholders and put safety at the forefront of everything you do.
Required qualifications:
- Demonstrated capability through past employment experience and relevant qualifications.
- Work Cover NSW Construction Induction Certificate.
- HC Driver’s License (Automatic/Synchro)
- Experience in the operation of vehicles, plant and equipment.
- Load/Unload - Float Machinery on/off Drop Deck trailers.
- Understanding of the safety and environmental requirements
