This state government department based near Bunbury town centre, are seeking an experienced Project Officer to provide support on a major economic development project.
Your new role
Responsibilities
As the Project Officer, you will be responsible for providing extensive support to key stakeholders involved in the project, assisting with:
- Undertaking research tasks to identify trends locally, nationally and internationally that may likely impact the projects activity
- Coordinate and manage projects in terms of process, management and delivery
- Provide assistance in managing commercial contracts and financial processes
- Act as a key stakeholder for contractors, suppliers and stakeholders involved in the project
- Support in developing and implementing communication strategies, programs and promotions regarding the project
- Support the project managers with any adhoc tasks required to support project delivery
In order to be considered, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Project Officer in a government team
- A confident understanding of government policies and processes
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Eagerness to learn
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
