About:
Engineering organisation that supports companies through effective design, consulting, production and manufacturing. Employing 200+ across Australia they are looking for a Design Draftsperson, a self-motivated Designer with a proactive attitude to getting the job done.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Work with Engineers to support designs and drafts from initial concept through to manufacture.
- Produce 3D engineering machine concept designs and drafts.
- Design and detailed drafting of medium to large material handling equipment.
- Mechanical designs – hydraulic elements to the work and plant layout (good allrounder).
- Structural designs – walkways, stairs, structural steel.
- Strong focus on continuous improvement with drafting.
- Report and present project analysis within design review meetings.
- Design with 3d Inventor software.
- Occasional time spent at client sites.
- Reverse engineering drafting and design.
To apply you will have:
- 3-5 years experience designing in Australia within mobile plant or material handling equipment design (so you understand the Australian design and engineering codes).
- A TAFE qualification.
- Ability to record own Bill Of Materials (BOMs).
- Self-motivated, ability to work on own and as part of a team.
