ABOUT THE ROLE: Part time, Full time, Fixed Term Lifestyle Assistant positions available at Mercy Place Nixon, Mercy Place Northcliffe

Summary of the role: Play a vital role in the delivery of individual and group activity programs designed to enhance our residents’ wellbeing. Located in Mordialloc, Edithvale

  • Casual, part time, full time position/s available
  • Promote emotional and physical rehabilitation through engaging residents in recreational activities of their choice that promote holistic wellbeing
  • Create, facilitate and evaluate individual and group lifestyle programs to ensure that our residents have the best day possible each and every day.
  • Work in consultation with the wider care team to provide relevant and timely information for the care planning process
  • You will be supported and guided by the Lifestyle Coordinator.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Completed or currently enrolled in Certificate IV in Lifestyle & Leisure (Diversional Therapy), or similar
  • Previous experience in a lifestyle role in an aged care environment
  • Highly motivated and engaging personality with a desire to teach and make a difference within the home
  • Demonstrated time management and an excellent relationship-builder
  • Previous experience delivering recreational activities and the ability to work within a team environment
