ABOUT THE ROLE: Mercy Place Warrnambool are looking for a cook who has a high level customer service focus.

Summary of the role: Cook required to prepare, cook and deliver food for 120 residents. There may also be kitchen audits and documentation entailed in this role.

  • Part-time and casual position available
  • Located at Warrnambool within the Catering and Housekeeping Department
  • Require suitably qualified cooks to provide nutritious meal options to our residents
  • Reporting to the Catering and Housekeeping Manager you will ensure meals are prepared according to individual resident dietary requirements and served according to internal guidelines

ABOUT YOU:

  • Qualifications as a Cook (Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery)
  • Experience in a commercial kitchen and Aged Care is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to operate in a team environment and during peak periods
  • An understanding that producing nutritious meals is an important part of home life for residents (and their families)
  • Desire to make a difference and impact the lives of our residents by providing good meal preparation and technique
