About the Role

Gippsland Southern Health Service has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Radiographer - Medical Imaging Technologist Grade 4, to join our dynamic and supportive Medical Imaging Team.

The position is a full-time and permanent, however, part-time and flexible working arrangements may be considered. Working across both campuses, our normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with a requirement to participate in the after-hours call roster for CT and X-Ray. Operationally, you will be responsible to the Medical Imaging Manager and on occasion you may be required to deputise for them.

As a senior member of the Medical Imaging team your primary objective is the provision of a high quality, efficient and patient focussed imaging services. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of fixed and mobile imaging equipment (including BMD and mammography). This includes all quality activities, education and training of MIT's and student radiographers, procedure development, machine maintenance and compliance

About You

You will have completed a Degree in Medical Imaging Science (Radiography) or hold an equivalent qualification with current AHPRA Registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner. Experience in CT essential.

  • IV Cannulation certification
