We seek a skilled Disability Support worker adept in Manual Handling for a client located in the Nowra area. This position is ideal for individuals seeking additional hours while assisting a fantastic client within a rapidly expanding organization. There is an option for the successful candidate to work with clients in the Illawarra region, and potential clientele opportunities along the South Coast.
Your Responsibilities Include:
· Provide compassionate and person-centered care to individuals with disabilities.
· Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
· Support clients with mobility and manual handling needs, including lifting, transferring, and positioning.
· Plan and facilitate engaging recreational activities and outings for clients.
· Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
· Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes the dignity and independence of all clients.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Disability Support Worker or in a similar role.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a related field desirable, or currently studying (Nursing also looked upon favorably).
- Knowledge and proficiency in Manual Handling.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy and patience when working with individuals with disabilities.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.

- NSW Driver's License
