Description:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced female Disability Support Worker to provide care to an 8 year old autistic male. The job is for 3 hours, Monday to Friday, from 3pm to 6pm in Chatswood.
Responsibilities
As a support worker, your primary responsibilities will include:
· Offering companionship and emotional support
· Assisting with transportation to appointments
· Encouraging participation in community activities
· Ensure the safety and well-being of the client
Skills and expertise
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
· be compassionate, patient, and understanding in nature
· Demonstrated compassion and dedication to helping others
· Ability to establish rapport and build positive connections
· Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, honesty, punctuality and a passion to work in this industry.
· Previous experience in working with complex behaviour participants is advantageous
· Willingness to undergo any necessary training
Eligibility
· Cert III is mandatory or other relevant qualification and experience in healthcare.
· Australian permanent resident/citizen or work permit
· Valid Working with Childrens Check
· Valid Police Report
· Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
· Completed New NDIS Worker Induction Module training
· Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module training
· must have a car and good driving record. Car must be insured. (optional)
· Current First Aid & CPR certification (or the ability and willingness to obtain one)
· Current ABN or willing to obtain one
