About you:

You have demonstrated high-level knowledge, expertise, and skill in a broad range of hospital-based speech pathology interventions, including instrumental dysphagia assessment, and development of clinical specialisation in at least one clinical area. You are confident to provide speech pathology clinical services of a complex and varied nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation, or modification for flexible and effective service provision. • Contribute to strategic planning and the development of Speech Pathology Department and Cairns Hospital clinical practices and procedures using the principles of evidence-based practice.
  • Identify, develop, and implement quality improvement activities and apply clinical evidence to actively contribute to enhancing speech pathology services within Cairns Hospital and the CHHHS.
  • May contribute to research activities within the Speech Pathology Department or multidisciplinary teams.
