About the Role:

As Executive Correspondence Officer you will work closely with the Senior Correspondence Officer and the broader Office of the Assistant Directors-General and Chief HR Officer team to coordinate the management of executive correspondence in a high volume, fast paced and supportive environment.

You will have a demonstrated strong ability to liaise with key stakeholders in the effective management of executive correspondence and in contributing towards the improvement of policies, procedures, systems and standards to enhance the correspondence functions of the branch.

This in a unique opportunity to contribute to the Human Resources Branch, who provides services, programs and expert advice for employees, schools and organisational units. We deliver on the department's commitment to developing and maintaining an empowered and effective workforce.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Assist with the development and improvement of policies, procedures, systems and standards to enhance the correspondence functions of the branch.
  • Coordinate responses to incoming Ministerial, Director-General and Assistant Director-General correspondence and requests for briefs in consultation with the Ministerial and Executive Services Unit and senior staff of People Branch.
  • Effectively manage workflow systems and processes across the branch, negotiating deadlines and timeframes and liaise with staff to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Search electronic and paper records for information and documents required by clients and ensure that requests are processed promptly.
