There's an exciting opportunity for you to join Payroll Transactional Services in the Department of Health as a Service Leader (Payroll Support Team)! You will provide leadership and management to the Payroll Support Team assisting with the delivery of accurate and customer focused payroll services and ensuring payroll production completed for clients within operational timeframes.

The Service Leader will p rovide leadership, mentoring, coaching and training to the payroll processing team and maintain a high-level and up to date understanding on establishment and business processes for Payroll Services including payroll production and the impacts of employee payments on workforce management issues.

About Corporate Enterprise Solutions:

This exciting job opportunity falls under the Corporate Enterprise Solutions branch within the Department of Health and provides solutions and services that support Queensland Health's enterprise corporate applications while also supporting the payroll transactional processes. This application suite includes the largest integrated rostering and payroll solution in the public sector and the finance, business and logistics solution and management environment.

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a Payroll team or service to ensure provision of quality customer services within an industrially complex and diverse environment
  • Well-developed leadership, management and change management skills to develop a high performing and professional workforce and workplace culture.
  • High level written and oral communication skills including liaising, consulting and stakeholder engagement with a broad range of clients.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of delivering payroll and rostering system processes and procedures within Queensland Health or a similar large and diverse payroll team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary human resource practices and relevant legislation, directives, industrial agreements and HR policies.
