Universal Media Co is one of Australia’s largest innovative media companies with a range of popular magazines, websites, social, TV and video brands.
We sell our magazines, books and stationery ranges Australia-wide through supermarkets, major retailers like Big W, newsagents and hundreds of independent retailers such as book stores, gift stores, and more. This includes the official AFL and NRL calendars and a number of other exciting popular products.
This role manages sales to our independent wholesale retailers. Each season you’ll present our latest product ranges to new and existing retailers and take their orders. At the same time you will handle the account management, customer service and administration for the client base and the department to ensure our retailers have an exceptional experience with us.
This year we have increased our range significantly and added a number of exciting new products which we are keen for this role to take to market. If you love account management, department administration and providing service to a diverse range of SME retailers then you’ll excel in this role.
What you will do :
· Take orders from a large number of current and new retailers via phone and email.
· Establish relationships with your client base and provide customer service and account administration to your client group, including processing their orders, driving top up sales, and providing after sales support.
· Use Excel, data and other analytics to track your sales, forecasts and revenue.
· Provide other departments with administration and customer service support.
What we are looking for :
· You enjoy phone and email communication and have a natural flair for marketing and customer service.
· Strong written and phone communication skills.
· Good Excel skills and a love for data
· Some experience with Powerpoint and Canva would be beneficial.
· Experience in delivering great customer service
· You must be self-motivated, reliable, have good time management skills with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced team environment.
· Showing initiative, taking ownership of outcomes and being keen to learn other aspects of the business will set you apart from other candidates.
