We now have a great opportunity for a Pre-Sales Consultant/ Solution Architect working with our vendor teams.

In this role, you will support the sales organization in building and maintaining an active customer base and developing new sales opportunities through the design and delivery of highly customized multi-technology. This role is more aligned to one specialist vendors but you may be required to support multiple technologies.

The key responsibilities of this role can be summarised as follows:

  • Provide technical solutions expertise to customers and their end users in a consultative sales environment.

  • Co-own and project manage the technical elements of sales opportunities to successful closure.

  • Engage with end users and resellers to help define appropriate multi-technology solutions to meet customer needs.

  • Support internal and external sales teams to deliver technical quotes in line with defined service level agreements (SLA's).

  • Maintain new and current technical expertise across many technologies, such as data center, virtualization, security, mobility, unified communication, and cloud solutions.

  • Develop and manage customer relationships with appropriate contacts.

  • Conduct customer site visits (reseller and end user).

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science or equivalent experience certifications preferred.

  • High end certifications across security, networking, hardware technologies is preferred.

  • Must have minimum five (5) years of experience in similar role/s / Industry as well as design/ deployment experience.

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in formal product presentations and/or technical sales training experience.

  • Minimum of five (5) years technical support experience with high-end servers, local area networks, and associated components with at least 1-2 year in Cloud Computing environments.

  • Minimum of one (1) year vendor relations experience in a presales vendor support role.

  • Knowledge of the interoperability of software, peripherals, networking, desktop platforms, applications, standalone and network operating systems, with strong technical abilities in Designing complex Cloud Computing solutions across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, etc. Ability to conduct implementation services would be well regarded.

  • Ability to work autonomously, devise process and manage time and prioritisation.

  • Superior English communications skills and ability to establish strong relationships with internal and external customers/ vendors.

  • An energetic individual with a strong customer focus.

  • Proven ability to work independently, effectively in an off-site environment and under high pressure.
