About the Role


The purpose of the Training and Mastery Specialist is to support full implementation and execution of Training and the Mastery program at Nickel West Camelot Deployment in Leinster. this role allows the ability for you to impart your skills and knowledge to a small team across numerous areas such as production and drill & blast. As our Training and Mastery Specialist, you will be a valued part of the Training and Mastery Team.
We are looking for people with demonstrated mining or civil background experience in the below or like machines:

  • Excavator - Komatsu 2000

  • Dozer - CAT D10T2

  • Loader – WA 900

  • Grader – CAT 16M

  • Haul Trucks/Water trucks – Caterpillar 785

  • Excavator PC 300

  • Epiroc D65 drill

The work of this role includes:

Mastery

  • Improvement to and monitoring of the adoption and integration methodology for the Mastery Program.

  • Supporting Mastery and Development Program implementation across multiple Mastery activities and Operations Services deployments through efficient processes and high quality services at the frontline.

  • Undertaking effective communications and engagement activities to drive Mastery adoption and effectiveness.

  • Supporting the team’s work with Analytics and Planning (A&P) and Technology groups in the implementation of systems required for the effective delivery, adoption, and performance of the programs.

About You


You will be a Certified Trainer Assessor and able to demonstrate:

  • Solid knowledge as a Trainer Assessor with demonstrated experience in the resources/mining sector;

  • Have an up-to-date Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment - preferably the TAE40116 or working towards achieving this;

  • Hold the relevant & recognised licences, tickets and competencies for production or relevant experience in equipment;

  • Have maintained currency with the plant/equipment and work activities in which you train/assess;

  • Proven organizational skills within a training environment and the ability to work autonomously;

  • Exceptional skills in the presentation of material and the ability to build relationships;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coach others in improvement and upskilling.

  • Experienced mining and civil Operators, quarry or small mine operators are encouraged to apply.

  • Advanced MS Office skills and experience in the use of technology in managing work processes, data capture and performance reporting.

  • Good understanding and skills in the field of work process analysis and improvement.

  • Strong communication and engagement skills and proven ability to engage and build relationships across multiple layers of the organisation from senior management to mine site leaders and technicians.

  • Very good organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.
