Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for providing exceptional administrative support? The School of Humanities, Creative Industries and Social Sciences is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of our School, providing vital support to both our internal team and our valued stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to :

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support and services to ensure the smooth operation of the School.
  • Manage data, timetabling, systems support, correspondence, and presentations.
  • Deliver high-quality client services and administrative support to students, staff, stakeholders, and visitors.
  • Coordinate and facilitate School meetings, including scheduling, presentations, minutes, and report preparation.
  • Assist in preparing course materials and course QA/assessment processes.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy files and filing systems.
  • Monitor and order supplies of stationery, office consumables, and office equipment.

These continuing positions are full time at a HEW 4 Higher Education Level and will be based at our City Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land)

About the Unit

The School of Humanities, Creative Industries and Social Sciences offers undergraduate, postgraduate coursework and Higher Degrees by Research. It features several degree programs that connect interdisciplinary strengths in separate disciplines so that graduates are better prepared to sustainably influence cultural and social change. The School offers degree programs in Arts, Communications, Design, Humanities, Music, Social Science, and Social Work. The School is a major driver of the College and University’s social research and innovation agenda and will increasingly look to pursue industry engagement into new markets for research and development, social innovation, and potential.
