This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join QBE on a permanent basis. Supporting our Shared Services portfolio with a primary focus on Claims, this role will own the relationship between Finance and key senior stakeholders to provide support in making financially sound decisions based on best-practice advice and recommendations.
On a regular basis, this role will see you:
- Partnering with a large expense-based portfolio including managing actuals, planning, forecasting and reporting
- Developing a deep understanding of the business to provide relevant, informed advice supported by timely, accurate financial analysis and commentary
- Presenting to the leadership team on financial matters to provide steer on business decision making based on risks and opportunities
- Engaging with our offshore support team to ensure processes impacting financial results are operating efficiently and as intended, including leadership of one offshore direct report
- Supporting the Head of Shared Services on other projects on an ad hoc basis requiring financial input and review
About you
You're a well-versed Finance Business Partner or FP&A professional with relevant qualifications (including CA/CPA) and demonstrated success consulting on financials within the insurance sector. You have a strong ability to look forward and provide sound planning and forecasts, whilst remaining curious and adaptable to change as the environment shifts. Your interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are second to none, with an innate ability to lead, influence and negotiate with senior leaders at the highest level of the organisation, providing advice that is backed by data and underpinned by commercial savviness.
