To continue our success, our Quaker Oats team in Forrestfield, Perth has a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team reporting to the Frontline Maintenance Manager.
Overview
- Location: Forrestfield, WA
- Rotational roster, alternating between 6am to 2pm/10am to 6pm shift.
- Ability to be on standby roster to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Position: Permanent Full Time, Monday to Friday
- Selection Process: Phone Conversation - Interview - Online Testing - Background and Pre-Employment Medical Checks - Decision
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Perform trouble shooting, planned preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on plant and equipment, detecting faults and foreseeing breakdowns
- Perform minor installations and commissioning work as required
- Update and extract data from the Computerised Maintenance Management System
- Responsible for ensuring milling equipment and process lines are in efficient working order
- Assist to identify, document, and implement improvements to maintenance work methods/ procedures and to plant and equipment to improve machine availability, quality, and safety
- Work closely with production team members to provide the best solution in solving existing engineering problems and to ensure that new designs are simple and user-friendly
- Perform work in a professional, timely and safe manner within PepsiCo Safety and Environmental management system
Qualifications
- Mechanical Fitter Qualification
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar role
- Technical understanding of milling equipment with experience in trouble shooting and fault finding is desirable
- Forklift operating experience / current licence holder is desirable
- A flexible attitude, willingness to work overtime & prepared to attend callout after hours
- Ability to work autonomously and safely under pressure
- Food industry experience desirable
- Steam System, confined space, EWP and TIG experience desirable
