About the opportunity:

Join our ever-growing team at SACARE as an Occupational Therapist today! We are currently on the lookout for experienced OTs to work either Full Time or Part Time across or accommodation and community services.

As the Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in the delivery of high quality, coordinated, efficient and evidence-based services to SACARE clients. You will use your expert knowledge to provide assessment, implement high quality therapeutic interventions, strategies and review and evaluate the needs of the clients, to enable them to achieve their desired goals. You will provide supervision, support, mentoring and training to Occupational Therapy students and support workers.

About You:

To be considered for this role, you will be passionate and committed to providing a client-centered and individualised intensive care approach. Ideally, you will also be able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, a genuine, compassionate nature and a commitment to engage with our culture and the values SACARE live and breathe.

  • Tertiary qualifications (bachelor’s degree or higher) in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with AHPRA and OT Australia
  • Proven experience in provision of disability specific and rehabilitation therapy services with adults
  • Experience assessing and prescribing complex Assistive Technology and home modifications.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of client needs in relation to report writing for NDIS and other funding bodies.
  • FIMs/WeeFims training and experience

Essential

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a drive to improve the quality of life for our participants.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a complex environment with multiple demands and tight timelines.
  • Understanding and experience of NDIS and other disability funding bodies.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening & Working with Children check
  • Current and unrestricted South Australian Driver's License
  • Satisfactory completion of Child Safe Environments training (can be provided by SACARE )
  • COVID19 Vaccination plus booster
