About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Program Change Officer (PCO) to join our Hunter Class Frigate Program based at Osborne Naval Shipyard.

Reporting to the Program Change Manager, The PCO will ensure that technical change sentenced through Change Boards is planned, managed and processed efficiently and effectively, in addition to supporting the Program Change Manager and all stakeholders in managing program change.

Please note that this position addresses technical change and is not focused on organisational or business change.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Capturing the Impact of Change, through analysis and reporting
  • Supporting the Delivery of an overall standardised and repeatable Project Change Management Framework / Organisation across all stakeholders; inclusive of IM&T infrastructure.
  • Providing guidance to stakeholders on the overall Change Management Framework to enable a standardised and consistent application of change processes.
  • Working closely with all stakeholders to enable the effective control of change across the Program (including Engineering, Program Management, Finance and Operations).
  • Maintaining and enhancing the Program Change metrics and reporting.

About YOU

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or equivalent (advantageous)
  • Minimum of 3yrs experience in a similar role, ideally within the Australian defence sector
  • Exposure to Configuration control and/or Change Management
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in supporting meetings and reporting metrics
  • Experience utilising PLM and ERP tools
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Current NV1 defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
