Team Leader– Electrical Fixed Plant
Group 6 Metals are looking for Electrical Team leader to join the Fixed maintenance team. This position is full-time and based on King Island at the Dolphin Tungsten Mine at Grassy.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Assist the Maintenance Superintendent in facilitating the delivery of standard work processes.
- Ensure a process of continuous improvement is established and functional throughout the different maintenance streams.
- Participating in effective pre and post shift handovers
- Completing shift reports precisely and accurately.
- Conducting pre-shift address with your crew members, ensuring their understanding and adherence to the shift plan and awareness of relevant hazards, and required controls.
- Be a hands-on Team leader and work with the team to get through the workload.
- Service, repair and maintenance of all Electrical Fixed Plant
- Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems
Job Requirements
- Supervisory experience in the maintenance field of an operational mine;
- Knowledge of maintenance systems an advantage, i.e Pronto, SAP
- Nationally recognised trade qualifications, minimum Cert III Electrical Engineering
- Tasmanian Electrical Licence
- Strong organisational and time management skills;
- Ability to communicate clearly with staff on all levels;
- 5+ years’ experience within a mining discipline, 1+ in a Supervisory role;
- Good knowledge of MS Office and Pronto desirable;
- Current C class manual driver’s licence; and
Roster – FIFO roster to be negotiated with the right candidate (14/7 or 9/5) from Melbourne, Burnie or Launceston, day work only. Residential roster also available.
