About the Role
We are looking for an experienced full-time Civil Engineering Technician to lead the development and delivery of the Civil Construction. This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly-motivated Civil Engineering Professional to advance career and contribute to our ongoing development and success.
Your Responsibilities
- Preparing sketches, charts, plans and designs utilizing CAD software for civil engineering works such as water supply, soil, roads and concrete structures
- Collecting and analysing data of the construction projects, assisting in calculating the required amounts and costs of materials, equipment, and labor for projects
- Interpreting plans, specifications and schedules, ensuring all construction activities conform or exceed company, project specific standard requirements
- Monitoring construction projects and giving construction technical guidance, ensuring compliance with design specifications and delivery of the projects on time
- Conducting and promoting safe operation of construction plant and equipment as required
- Preparing project planning schedules including identification of risks, issues, constraints and contingency plans
- Inspecting the team's structural safety, material quality, construction technology, ensuring that the project quality and safety quality are in line with the regulations in the project acceptance stage
Skills & Qualifications
- At least a tertiary qualification
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proficiency with CAD software, such as AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
- Proficient in interpreting plans, drawings, sketches for civil engineering works
- Sound level computer literacy
- Knowledge of civil industry standards and regulations
