Duties
- Identify emerging sport and recreation issues and trends and identify, initiate and manage planned responses and strategies.
- Coordinate, monitor and evaluate projects and formulate appropriate recommendations for consideration by Active Tasmania management.
- Provide advice to support the development of sport and recreation through regular contact with national, state and local networks.
- Provide high-level client management services to contribute to, support and build the capacity of the sport and recreation sector.
- Liaise with other Active Tasmania and Culture, Arts, and Sport teams to ensure that appropriate policies, programs, and services are addressing Tasmanian sport and recreation needs.
- Prepare high-level briefing notes, correspondence, documentation and ministerial responses on sport and recreation issues as required.
- Represent the Department in a range of relevant forums.
- Undertake other duties as required by the Project Manager - Development.
