Position Summary:
- We are looking an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in the GIS domain to become part of our team. The candidate should have a strong understanding of GIS technologies, spatial analysis, and business processes.
- The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst will be to bridge the gap between business objectives and GIS solutions, ensuring that our GIS projects align with organizational goals and deliver maximum value.
Mandatory Skills:
- 15+ years of experience as a Business Analyst/Business Development in Geospatial domain.
- In depth understanding of GIS principles and spatial data concepts and geospatial analysis techniques
- Hands on experience with GIS software platforms such as Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, ArcFM, or Similar including data visualization capabilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to convey analysis results, and recommendation to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly, retain large amounts of information, and adapt to a changing work environment.
- Excellent customer service, analytical/problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and software applications.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to understand client requirements and objectives related to GIS Implementation/Integrations.
- Conduct detailed analysis of client operations and workflows to identify opportunities for GIS implementation/migration and process improvement.
- Work closely with GIS developers and domain experts/SMEs to design, develop, and implement solutions tailored to the needs of clients.
- Translate client requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and functional requirements for GIS projects.
- Work with requestors to document requirements, business value, outcomes, potential issues, compliance needs, and information classification
- Provide support to end-users on GIS applications and tools, enabling them to leverage migrated GIS applications in their day-to-day tasks.
- Stay informed about emerging GIS technologies, trends, and best practices in forestry domain.
Salary Range: > $100,000
