Description:
Position Purpose
The primary responsibility of the Salesforce Developer is to create and develop Salesforce solutions and enhancements within an Agile delivery methodology that meet business needs.
The Salesforce Developer role will report to the Head of Enterprise Portfolio Management. The role is embedded within a specific delivery team and the successful candidate will be expected to deliver on longer-term Salesforce products. The successful candidate will also be given the opportunity to work across projects and support other Salesforce initiatives critical to strategic platform roadmap outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
- Design, configure, develop and test green- and brown - field Salesforce solution and enhancements.
- Lead the definition of process for code management (including branching).
- Responsible for ongoing source code management/version control (GIT) for all Salesforces projects.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Follow good security coding practices to ensure the application is free of coding vulnerabilities.
- Follow development practices as defined by the RMO.
Key Selection criteria
- 5 - 7 years of development and customisation experience in Salesforce Service Cloud is mandatory.
- Experience in Salesforce Administration, Salesforce Customisation, Salesforce Experience Cloud and Salesforce Service Cloud.
- Experience working on Salesforce interfaces (Lightning and Classic), Apex, Add-ons and integration using MuleSoft and other Salesforce connectors (as required).
- Experience working with Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Experience working on Salesforce DX (Salesforce CLI, Scratch Orgs).
- Experience with the Nintex product, particularly building document templates.
- Experience working on Atlassian DevOps toolset (Jira, Bitbucket/ SourceTree) and VS Code to manage applications/ product lifecycle.
- Experience in Workflows, process builders, flows, basic Apex, Validation Rules, Sharing & Security etc.
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines to deploy applications.
- Deep understanding of SDLC principles and the software development lifecycle, including Agile and DevOps practices and methodologies.
- Experience working on enterprise-wide implementation and roll-out of Salesforce/other CRMs.
Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in IT or a similar relevant qualification is required.
- Salesforce Developer Certifications are required; Platform App Builder and SFDC Certified Developer I (II highly desirable), Service Cloud.
