Description:
This position of Iteration Manager will be part of the Software Development Group in the Development & System Transition (D&ST) directorate, which is comprised of 82 employees and a rotation of contractors.
This position reports to the Manager of Development.
Key Accountabilities for this role:
- Liaise with the business and technical teams to prioritise and negotiate delivery expectations.
- Contribute to design and implementation, and design reviews for proposed and existing technologies with a focus on the development of automation and innovation across the team to realise efficiencies.
- Provide process governance, guidance, mentoring and advice to staff and coordinate and manage the Agile (SCRUM) teams, escalating quality issues to the relevant Manager.
- Drive the use of the Agile methodology within the organisation, by coaching and mentoring Agile team members in the methodology, practices, tools and processes.
- Assist with the maturation of Application development procedures to promote sustainable system development activities and encourage greater knowledge sharing and retention.
- Contribute to a dynamic environment, identify risks and issues and provide regular reports to senior management on internal release team metrics including release progress.
Key Experience required for this role:
- Knowledge in all phases of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of the Agile methodology
- Experience with managing Cross Functional Agile teams
- Experience with Atlassian JIRA, or another Agile or sprint management tool
- Knowledge of developing within a Secure Software Development Lifecycle
- Knowledge of PRINCE2
- Experience with Azure DevOps
A Scrum Master Certification would be highly desirable for this role.
