An opportunity has arisen within our Food and Beverage Management Team at The Star Gold Coast. We are seeking an Assistant Venue Manager to support the dynamic portfolio of Bars and Restaurant within our Private Gaming Rooms.
As the Assistant Venue Manager, you will be hands on to ensure the smooth running of the day to day operations and to ensure delivery of exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the venue meets budgetary targets and assisting with the development of initiatives to maximise revenue and minimise costs
- Assisting with the monitoring and evaluation of service and product delivery
- Maintaining a high level of team focus on delivering outstanding guest service
- Assisting in resolving guest service queries and concerns
- Managing team performance and development
- Working with internal key stakeholders to deliver outcomes for the business
What are we looking for?
- Previous leadership experience within a large team restaurant or bar environment
- Strong knowledge of food & beverage products, trends and industry practices
- Demonstrated ability in planning and resourcing of people and products
- Experience in managing costs including labour to create operational efficiencies
- Demonstrated ability in developing productive relationships and managing and driving change
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol
- Strong knowledge of Inventory Management and Menu Engineering
- 24/7 flexible availability to suit business needs, including weekends, and public holidays
