Description:
The Correctional Manager, Industries Level 2 is a member of the Centre's management team, chairs the prisoner employment committee that's responsible for employing in excess of 250 prisoners per day throughout the Centre, is responsible for managing existing commercial projects and the generation of new business in a manner that does not infringe the competitive neutrality provisions of National Competition Policy.The prison Industries activities are closely aligned to accredited training through an integrated relationship between prison industries, Vocational Education and Training programs (VET and Integrated VET) and the Advance2Work Program.
In addition, the Centre conducts several on-the-job training programs to assist prisoners to validate their theoretical knowledge through practical reinforcement.
